APRIL 15TH - 21st IS NATIONAL CRIME VICTIMS' RIGHTS WEEK

The Johnson County Victim Support Unit and the District Attorney's Office help to raise awareness on victim's rights.
This Thursday, at 9:30am, the Johnson County Board of Commissioners will issue a Proclamation that this week is National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
In addition, the Johnson County District Attorney's Office participated in the following activities:
- All week, Homer's Coffee House in downtown Overland Park will host the Victim's Art Show and Exhibit.
- Members of the Victim Support Unit attended a 3-day Victim's Assistance conference in Wichita.
- On Tuesday, April 17th, the Victim's Support Unit hosted volunteer training and hosted a recognition dinner at Carrabas restaurant for all volunteers.
- Volunteers and DA staff participated in a tour of Safehome, a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence.
